Darius Anderson is the Founder and CEO of Kenwood Investments, a California Opportunity Fund seeking new ventures to build upon the unique brand of California. Darius is a talented political strategist who also understands the hard-charging working dynamics of big business and big government. Philanthropy is important to Darius, and he is involved in a variety of charitable activities. He is the Chair of the National Advisory Council at the Institute of Governmental Studies at University of California, Berkeley. He is a passionate art collector and owns world-class collections of both baseball and Jack London memorabilia. Darius Anderson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Mike Sutsos, Sr., Wing & Barrel Ranch Co-Founder, National Champion Dog Trainer & Author
Wing & Barrel Ranch is managed by co-Founder Mike Sutsos, Sr. who owned and managed Wing & Barrel Ranch’s predecessor hunting club, Black Point Sports Club, until its sale in 2013. With over 35 years of experience, Mike has trained 8 national field trial champion dogs. He has an innate ability to identify each dog’s best characteristics in the field, working one-on-one with members to develop their dog’s hunting abilities. Mike strives to train all hunting breeds, so whether in the field hunting or at home, your dog remains an important part of the family. Seasonal lessons and annual continued education for both dog and owner are offered to keep your dog obedient and in top-notch condition.
Mike Sutsos, Jr., Hunting Operations
The Wing & Barrel Ranch property has been in Mike’s family for his entire life – first as Black Point Sports Club until its sale in 2013, and now as Wing & Barrel Ranch. He grew up in the hunt club business and currently manages hunting operations at Wing & Barrel Ranch. Mike’s passion revolves around each unique aspect of the business – he knows them all. If you would like to learn how to clean your firearm, field dress a pheasant or need assistance with a troubling target on the clay course, he can help with that! Mike works to ensure that everyone has a safe and comfortable experience enjoying the outdoors and all the ranch has to offer. He has been teaching shotgun shooting for over 10 years, and hunting since he was seven 7 years old. In his spare time Mike enjoys fishing, hand carving duck calls, reloading ammo for his rifles and spending time with his family.
Vance Gilley, Director, Business Development
Previous to Wing & Barrel Ranch, Vance was the Territory Sales Manager for Beretta USA whereby he oversaw all the direct sales of Beretta products to firearms dealers in Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska. Also, Vance has an extensive background working in the golf and country club industry. He grew up in Texas where he was an avid wing shooter and big game hunter. Vance and his wife, Kim, have three children ranging in ages from 11 - 17 years.
Michael Stansfield-Church, Hospitality Manager
Michael Stansfield-Church has been a Hospitality Professional all his career. Most recently he worked with Marriott International as Food and Beverage Supervisor, Restaurant Maître d’ and Sommelier. Michael has also worked with Ramekins Culinary School and Events Center as an Events Manager and for 17 years at the Kenwood Restaurant as part of the Management team. He and his husband have a 19-year-old son and reside in Sonoma.
Bill Hooper, President
Bill Hooper oversees all business development and financing for Wing & Barrel Ranch. Bill’s foundation began with a 26-year career at Clear Channel Outdoor, and as former president of the California State Outdoor Advertising Association. He also served as a board member for the San Francisco and Oakland Chambers of Commerce, The Bay Area Council, Jr. Achievement of the Bay Area, the Bay Area Society of Television, Advertising and Radio, the Sacramento Advertising Club, the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce and the Committee for a Drug Free California. Bill is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, and is married with two children.
